I had the pleasure of watching GOAT early this morning, and it was nothing short of a cinematic rollercoaster! Directed by Venkat Prabhu, this film is a perfect blend of action, family drama, and humor. It’s packed with unexpected twists and even pays tribute to Vijay’s iconic filmography, making it a treat for long-time fans.
Thalapathy Vijay truly shines, taking on two distinct roles that showcase his versatility like never before. It’s refreshing to see him in such varied characters, and he delivers effortlessly. The first half is intense and gripping, with Venkat Prabhu’s masterful storytelling leading up to an electrifying interval block that sets the stage for an even more thrilling second half.
Once the interval hits, the action ramps up and doesn’t let go. The sequences are slick, and Vijay’s charm, emotional depth, and flawless dance moves make it a fan-favorite experience. Whether delivering humor or hard-hitting punches, he connects effortlessly with the audience, making every moment whistle-worthy.
Adding a heartfelt tribute to Captain Vijayakanth only enhances the emotional layers of the story. The climax is thrilling, leaving you on the edge of your seat, and despite its 3-hour runtime, the film keeps you fully engaged. It’s one of those films you’ll want to revisit.
A special mention to producer Archana Kalpathi, who brought this grand spectacle to the screen. Technically, GOAT is on par with the best Hollywood action films, making it a true visual feast. It’s a movie that’s best enjoyed with family, and definitely worth multiple watches!
