ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA – Review

Ant Man Quantumania is a really fun film! A good Adventure, Action, Comedy, Family movie. Let’s start with the Heroes; Paul Rudd nails his performance once again and Cassie was cool too. The dynamic between Ant Man and Cassie was sweet. Janet had some cool story arc and it’s cool that she was experienced with Kang and basically scared by him. Hank Pym was nice, I loved the bit where he walks in with the army of Ants! Goosebumps. I also liked when Hank, Scott and Cassie meet MODOK again lol. And Wasp was like… there… The AntFam was at their peak in this movie! And now for the villains!! Jonathon Major as Kang The Conqueror is AMAZING!!! He nailed it. From being a comedic He Who Remains, to being this extremely scary and menacing Kang was so badass!! I like how he seemed like a lost soul stuck in the Quantum Realm… but he turns to be PURE EVIL. That’s what’s different between Thanos and Kang. Thanos is a broken villain, Kang is PURE EVIL!!! That’s what makes an amazing villain. His lines always delivered. And his suit is badass. He is a menace, he simply just MURDERS people right in front of him just like that. Great start to the next BIG VILLAIN!!! But MODOK was just unnecessary, there was no connection between Kang and MODOK so he just felt out of place. Also I don’t like how they changed his backstory and killed him off. But his design is pretty cool especially with the helmet on and he was pretty funny. The CGI, Cinematography, ACTION SCENES and dialogue were all great, sometimes the story felt out of place and there was a lot unnecessary characters in it, and the Wasp was just full on waisted!! But idc this movie was still great. It’s really cool how there is a society of people in the Quantum Realm and they all fear Kang like he is a god, and it’s cool how it sometimes gave me like Star Wars vibes. The final battle was BRUTAL and I think this was the biggest we have seen Ant Man become and the angriest when he stormed through the citadel. I really liked the ending as well. I’m sure Scott will play a key role in Avengers 5 and 6 with Kang. I’m sure Kang is not dead. Even if this version of Kang is dead, we saw in the Mid Credit that there are THOUSANDS OF KANGS in the Council Of Kangs!!! It’s so crazy to see John Major pull all these different personalities of Kangs and Rama Tut, Immortus and Scarlet Century look so cool. Can’t wait for more. And the Post Credit scene just gets me more exited for Loki Season 2!! You’ve done it again Marvel, its a great comedy, action adventure, fantasy film that sets the stakes of the MCU onward and a great way to start of Phase 5
